AQUAstay retention tank
The AQUAstay retention tank combines two key functions of modern water management efficient stormwater retention and its reuse. It is a comprehensive underground solution that enables optimal rainwater management from collection to controlled discharge or reuse.
Such systems are particularly suitable for facilities where the goal is to reduce potable water consumption while relieving drainage systems during heavy rainfall. By using the AQUAstay retention tank you contribute to sustainable water management and more efficient use of natural resources.

AQUAstay retention tank
The AQUAstay retention tank combines the function of stormwater retention and reuse. It is a comprehensive underground solution that enables efficient collection storage and use of rainwater.
The system is suitable for facilities where the goal is to reduce potable water consumption while ensuring temporary retention of stormwater. This reduces the load on drainage systems and contributes to sustainable water management.
AQUAstay tanks are designed exclusively for underground installation. They are available in various sizes with the possibility of customization according to project requirements. The standard installation depth ranges from 2.0 to 2.6 m.
For more demanding conditions such as rocky terrain or high groundwater levels the AQUAstay FLAT version is available which enables installation at a reduced depth of approximately 1.5 m.
Floating intake set
The retention tank set with floating intake and flow control regulator enables precise controlled discharge of water from the tank. Excess water is directed into the drainage system through the regulator ensuring a stable flow.
The flow control regulator allows adjustment of the flow rate in the range from 0.05 l/s to 2.5 l/s preventing overload of the sewer system and enabling efficient management of the retention volume.
The set also includes an overflow function. The overflow dimension is typically equal to the inlet dimension of the tank. For larger inlets above DN 200 or multiple inlet connections an additional overflow at the top of the tank can be implemented.
The floating intake enables water extraction just below the surface where the water is the cleanest. This reduces the risk of contamination and pipe clogging. The flow rate via the floating intake can reach up to 4.0 l/s depending on the selected system size.
How does it work?
The AQUAstay tank retention system operates on the principle of controlled collection retention and discharge of stormwater. During rainfall the tank gradually fills with rainwater collected from roofs or other impermeable surfaces.
When the water level reaches the height of the floating regulator connection excess water begins to be discharged in a controlled manner into a receiving system such as a soakaway watercourse or sewer network. This ensures a steady outflow that prevents overloading of the drainage infrastructure.
For additional safety each tank is equipped with an emergency overflow which allows the discharge of larger volumes of water during intense rainfall events.
After the rainfall ends the water level in the tank gradually decreases to an optimal level while the collected stormwater remains available for further use such as irrigation or other technical applications.
